In 2020, this commitment led us to partner with Green Atlas, a leader in orchard scanning technology. We recognised early that the Cartographer delivers accurate, repeatable measurements that enable growers to make faster, more informed decisions. Since then, Green Atlas has continued to refine their service and technology, helping us expand to a fleet of Cartographer units and scan thousands of hectares each season across the North Island.

Precision crop load management
Fruition primarily uses Green Atlas Cartographer to deliver crop load information for apple and kiwifruit orchards, supporting more efficient hand thinning. With labour now by far the largest orchard cost, the agronomic insights and heatmaps generated by the Cartographer allow labour to be targeted more precisely and instructions to be more specific, resulting in lower costs and a more uniform crop.
Fruition also provides crop estimation services, using Green Atlas Cartographer to give growers and packers accurate forecasts of crop volume, including both fruit counts and size profiles.
Trials, Research and Variable Rate
Expanding what's possible
Fruition specialises in trials and research projects where Green Atlas Cartographer replaces slow, manual, small‑scale measurements with fast, accurate, repeatable, large‑scale data collection. Fruition has extensive experience across chemical thinning trials, crop load trials, PGR trials, nutrition trials, and more.
Fruition has also used Green Atlas Cartographer data to enable a range of variable rate applications, including spraying, root pruning, and product spreading. Targeting these inputs leads to both product savings and more precise vigour management, supporting improved orchard uniformity. Fruition also uses Cartographer crop load data to mark out thinning instructions on the sward using its inhouse innovation, Tagga.
