As the technology has continued to evolve, so has our use of it; scanning is now a core part of the seasonal service we deliver across south‑eastern Australia to help leading growers speed up their decision making processes.

Trials and Research

Fruit Help primarily uses the Green Atlas Cartographer for research trial data capture, creating an opportunity to quickly and reliably scan product or technique evaluation trials in a fast, repeatable and consistent manner, whether it be chemical thinning trials in apples or plums or fruitset trials in almonds.

Fruit Help also uses the Green Atlas Cartographer data to assist crop estimation as well as quality control of orchard tasks and canopy size estimation/monitoring. A new area of use is in farm asset evaluation and pre-purchase inspection of orchards enabling due diligence processes to accurately reflect orchard status, health and condition.

With such an extensive set of data captured by the Green Atlas Cartographer there are always interesting surprises to be found… Fruit Help has even been able to identify red limb mutations (sports) in apples just from a preharvest scan!
